It’s been a busy couple of weeks this June supporting our local community.
We’ve had the pleasure of supporting three fantastic local events, the Hartley Wintney Festival, The Hampshire Hoppit, and the Hartley Wintney Golf Club Pro Am. Each event was completely different, but they all had one thing in common, lots of wonderful people and plenty of great conversations.
As a small local clinic, opportunities like these are something we genuinely enjoy. It’s a chance to step outside the treatment rooms, meet members of our community, and support people in the activities they love.
Hartley Wintney Golf Club Pro Am
Our first event was the HWGC Pro Am. We are in partnership with the golf club and support each other regularly, and were proud to be the headline sponsors of the Pro Am. All members of the club receive 10% off at the Body Reset Clinic, and we are there frequently for team meetings and to meet with members.
36 teams took part. The weather held out. We spent the day helping golfers stretch and prepare for the day, mingling and handing out awards, and offering a few quick treatments where needed. Simply a day for us to enjoy and celebrate the sport and offer some physio advice where needed.
The club looked gorgeous as ever. Congratulations to winner Steve Cowell who shot 4 under par! The food was amazing. The day was a success.
Golf is a sport that places unique demands on the body, and we had some great conversations about mobility, movement, recovery, and the small niggles that can sometimes affect performance and enjoyment of the game. It’s so common for golfers to play through the little niggles, and I think they forget sometimes that there are things that can be done to feel better throughout their game. We all deserve to enjoy our hobbies without the pain and strain on our bodies.

Hartley Wintney Festival
The following weekend we had the Hartley Wintney Festival, where we offered mini assessments and massages throughout the day. This gave people to opportunity to check in with a therapist on anything small that might be bothering them. Sometimes it can feel difficult to book an appointment due to being so busy, or ‘the pain can wait’. So it was lovely to offer an easy opportunity for anybody to drop-by and ask us any questions.
One of the things we enjoy most at events like this is simply talking to people. We heard stories about running goals, gardening projects, golf ambitions, old injuries, and the everyday aches and pains that many people quietly put up with.
There was also plenty to see and take in! Classic cars, fly-overs, food stalls, craft stalls, a dog show, music, donkey rides and so much entertainment. There’s something special about this village, Hartley Wintney. It’s calm and feels somehow rural, but is big enough to host an event like this and see so many people come together, and create a wonderful atmosphere.

Supporting Runners at The Hampshire Hoppit
The day after the festival was The Hampshire Hoppit. No time to rest!
An absolutely stunning location for a trail run. We supported runners with pre and post-run massages, for the marathon, half marathon and 10k.
There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day. We met runners taking on their first event, seasoned regulars, and plenty of people simply challenging themselves to do something they were proud of. As well as soothing some tired legs, this was another opportunity for some of the team to have some time out together, enjoying the scenic setting, some sunshine and a fresh breeze.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat, asked a question, shared a story, or simply came over to say hello.
We feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a supportive and welcoming community, and we’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to get involved.
Until then, we might just enjoy a well earned cup of tea and a little rest.
