Graduate Sports Therapist MSc MSST

Graduate Sports Therapist MSc MSST

My Background

My passion for sport and movement began through gymnastics, where I competed as part of the Welsh Tumbling Squad. From a young age, I developed a deep appreciation for strength, biomechanics and technical precision, a foundation that naturally led me into a career in Sports Therapy and Strength & Conditioning.

I am a Graduate Sports Therapist registered with the Society of Sports Therapists, with experience treating a wide variety of clients, from the general population to elite athletes. Alongside clinical practice, I have worked within professional and semi-professional sport, including rugby, football and international touring teams.

Studying MSc Strength and Conditioning enhanced my ability to perform detailed biomechanical analysis, identify muscle imbalances and asymmetries, and implement targeted rehabilitation and performance programmes. I am passionate about improving how individuals move, reducing pain and injury risk, and building long-term strength and resilience.

Qualifications & Experience

I graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a degree in Sports Therapy and went on to study a MSc in Strength and Conditioning.

Working in both clinical and professional and semi professional rugby settings has strengthened my ability to accurately assess, diagnose and rehabilitate acute and chronic injuries across a diverse client base.

My clinical experience includes diagnosing and managing acute and chronic injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, shockwave therapy, manual therapy, sports massage, joint mobilisations and structured return-to-play programming.

Specialisms

  • Biomechanical Assessment & Movement Analysis – Identifying underlying imbalances contributing to pain or performance limitations
  • Sports Rehabilitation & Return to Play – Structured, progressive programmes for acute and chronic injuries
  • Strength & Conditioning Integration – Combining rehabilitation with performance principles for long-term resilience
  • Prehabilitation & Injury Prevention – Reducing injury risk through targeted strength and conditioning

How I like to recharge and reset

Sport and movement continue to be a huge part of my life. With a background in elite gymnastics, I still value strength training, mobility work and maintaining my own performance standards. I enjoy staying active, learning new techniques within rehabilitation and performance, and continually developing my knowledge to provide the highest standard of care for my clients. I am also a qualified APPI Reformer Pilates Instructor, which I absolutely love doing alongside my work as a Sports Therapist.
