Frank Hampton
Senior Physiotherapist | BSc (Hons), MSc Physiotherapy
My Background
When I began studying physiotherapy, my goal was to work in elite sport. However, during my training and early clinical experience, I quickly discovered how much I enjoyed helping people improve their quality of life through rehabilitation and movement.
My career has allowed me to work across a variety of clinical settings, including orthopaedics, surgery, neurological rehabilitation, and sports medicine. Alongside my NHS roles, I have continued to pursue my passion for sport, working within professional and semi-professional football, most recently with Hartley Wintney FC.
I enjoy breaking down complex problems to understand the root cause of a client’s symptoms and creating tailored rehabilitation programmes that help them regain confidence, movement, and independence.
Qualifications & Experience
I graduated with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science in 2019 before spending several years working in teaching, coaching, and as a qualified sports massage therapist.
In 2024, I completed my Master’s degree in Physiotherapy and began my career within the NHS. Following a rotational physiotherapy role, I progressed to Senior Physiotherapist in Orthopaedics, specialising in post-operative rehabilitation and recovery. I now work as a Senior Neurological Physiotherapist, supporting people with a wide range of neurological conditions to improve movement, balance, strength, and function.
Throughout my career, I have developed particular expertise in rehabilitation, exercise prescription, gait re-education, pain management, and supporting clients through their recovery journey. Alongside my clinical work, I have continued working within football and sport, combining hands-on treatment with rehabilitation planning and injury management.

How I like to recharge and reset
I don’t tend to sit still for very long. When I’m not in clinic, you’ll usually find me running, in the gym, playing football, or spending time on the golf course, although I often seem to visit more bunkers and hazards than fairways.
Staying active has always been an important part of my life, and it helps me understand just how frustrating it can be when pain or injury gets in the way of doing the things you enjoy.
